This Delicious Jaffa Cake Recipe is Guaranteed to Make Your Taste Buds Go Wild

Ingredients

To make the perfect Jaffa Cake you will need the following ingredients: 225g of butter, 125g of caster sugar, 4 eggs, 225g of self-raising flour, 75g of ground almonds, 2 tablespoons of orange juice, 2 tablespoons of grated orange zest, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 50g of dark chocolate chips.

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan assisted). Grease and line a 20cm springform cake tin.

2. Cream the butter and sugar together until they are light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs, one at a time.

3. Sift the flour, baking powder and ground almonds together and add to the butter mixture. Beat until the mixture is combined.

4. Stir in the orange juice, orange zest and vanilla extract. Fold in the dark chocolate chips.

5. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

6. Leave the cake to cool in the tin for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

Once cooled, the Jaffa Cake can be served as is or with a dollop of cream. Enjoy!
