Why Cake Pops?
Cake pops are the perfect sweet treat that can be enjoyed any time of the year. They are easy to make, delicious to eat and look fantastic. Whether you're hosting a birthday party, a baby shower, or a family get-together, cake pops are always a hit. Plus, they can be customized with different colors and decorations to match any occasion.
Ingredients
You'll need the following ingredients to make the perfect cake pops: 1 box of your favorite cake mix, 1 can of vanilla frosting, food coloring, cake pop sticks, and candy melts.
Instructions
To make the cake pops, start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions and bake in an 8x8 inch pan. Once the cake is done baking, let it cool completely.
In a large bowl, crumble the cake until it's in fine crumbs. Add one can of frosting and mix until combined. For fun, add food coloring to the mixture and mix until the desired color is achieved.
Roll the mixture into one-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Insert a cake pop stick into each cake ball and freeze for at least one hour.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts according to the package directions. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy and let any excess drip off. Place the cake pops back on the parchment paper and let them set.
Decorate the cake pops with sprinkles, edible glitter, and other decorations. Enjoy!
