Gather Your Ingredients

Getting all of the ingredients together for this carrot cake is easy and most of them can be found in your pantry! You will need 1 ½ cups of all purpose flour, ¾ cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, a pinch of salt, 1 cup of vegetable oil, 2 eggs, 2 cups of grated carrots and optional ¾ cup of chopped nuts.

Mixing the Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Add in the vegetable oil, eggs, and grated carrots and mix until all ingredients are combined. If you would like to add in the nuts, stir them in as well.

Bake and Enjoy!

Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let the cake cool before serving and enjoy! This carrot cake recipe is so easy and delicious, you won’t be able to stop eating it!
