You will need: 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 cup of butter, 1 cup of buttermilk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 4 large eggs, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans.

Instructions

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the buttermilk, vanilla extract, and condensed milk and mix until well combined.

Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top of each pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting.
